Safari has no Favorites extension yet, but it takes any page as its start page — so your grid can still open on every new tab and window. You'll need your link first: open your grid, then Settings → copy your link.
Safari → Settings → General. Paste your link into Homepage, then set New windows open with and New tabs open with to Homepage. Both matter — Safari tracks them separately, and changing only the first leaves new tabs on Safari's own start page.
